E Our City Tour of Lujan includes transportation 60
km. west of the Capital Federal area giving our
guests a chance to enjoy the fresh air and open
“Pampas Argentina” The Museum of Transportation
promises fun and lots of history. The first
Presidential coaches, stage coaches of the old west
, the first vapor train “ La Porteña” made in
Argentina and much more! Also the Cabildo, built in
1723, held the first municipal building, school,
jail and town square. Today its 4 historic museums
return to San Martin’s conquest of the Americas, the
struggle for political power, the European
immigration and the organization of the provinces. |

PART
II: HISTORIA, TRADITION, RELIGION, ARTE
The first stones of the Basilica of Lujan where laid
on the May 15, l887. A French priest Father Jorge
Salvaire will influence the design of this
impressive gothic structure. The image of Our Lady
of Lujan and her voyage from Brazil with her
faithful and tender servant Negrito Manuel, date
back to l630. This May 8 th , Our Lady of Lujan
celebrates 377 years in Lujan. Today the crypts
below the basilica promise a unique and artistic
experience. More than 70 countries prepare altars to
commemorate the Virgin Maria in her distinct
manifestations. The Historic Museum holds the Crown
of Gold and the Gold Rose (one only 5 in the world),
presented by Pope John Paul II on his visit to
Argentina in l982. |

After a morning of discovering this beautiful
country and its history it is only fitting that we
finish our tour with a chance to savor the argentine

The best Argentine beef, pork, chicken, chorizo and
all the varieties are prepared on open pits in the
